Catawba Island State Park - Topographic Survey
The Catawba Island State Park project consisted of a detailed topographic survey of the 5 acre state park and hydrographic surveying in Lake Erie. Buckley Group performed the topographic survey on land utilizing both GPS and robotic total station equipment. The land survey included a boundary survey for the property and underground utility locations. Hydrographic surveying of the bottom of Lake Erie was performed utilizing an echosounder kit paired with a GPS unit. Bathymetric data was collected and added to the mapping for a detailed topography of the lake bottom. Buckley Group provided the existing site plan for the project and set all construction control points. The survey was benchmarked to current NGS monuments in the project area.
